1. But you just had a baby!
2. Was it planned?
3. YOU'RE CRAZY!!!

If you haven't heard yet, we're pregnant with baby #2! I'm 13 weeks and due June 12th. However, I'm planning on a July baby after what happened last time around! (Don't worry - I learned my lesson.) Abigail and Baby #2 will be 15 months apart. We're very excited, but feel a bit apprehensive in having two young children so close in age. Anyone want to nanny?

Fun times at Grandma's birthday party!

I'm sorry Bethany, but I had to post these pictures! I'm still laughing...

"Let's push our bellies out!"

"Watch out Angelina Jolie!"

Don't worry sis, nobody looks at this blog anyway! :)

Travis said nobody will care about these pictures, but I decided to post them anyway!

I was looking through some old pictures tonight and came across some good memories BA - Before Abigail.

Two summers ago, we found three abandoned baby kittens in our garage. We think they had just been born due to what Travis had found with them (I won't go into any more details...). We had absolutely no previous experience with cats and no desire whatsoever to actually have one as a pet. The following are some of the many pictures we took of the kittens that we ended up growing very attached to. Now we LOVE cats!!! :)

You could hold all three of them in one hand.

Eyes still closed

Bottle feeding

Lots of cuddling

Yes, that was our UGLY multi-striped couch in the background! It was the very first thing I made Travis throw away when we moved!

Trying to teach them to eat by themselves

We still have Brownie and my sister and Travis' mom have the other two. :)

And a completely random picture of the most famous person I've ever met...

STEPHEN A. SMITH!

He's a basketball analyst and talk show host on ESPN. He's a very feisty man - I really like him!

The Silent Holocaust

Instead of posting the usual photos of our daughter Abigail, I wanted to write about something else I've been thinking a lot about lately. I'm not one to talk with others about politics, but I strongly believe that many people have not taken the issue of abortion into consideration when voting for our next president.

I feel passionately about the protection of unborn children. Some people fail to realize that a baby in the womb is really a precious, human life. An eight-week-old human baby has a beating heart, an EKG, brain waves, thumb-sucking, pain sensitivity, finger-grasping, and genetic humanity. However, under our present laws this baby is not a human person with rights under the 14th Amendment, which says that, "no state shall deprive any person of life...without due process of law."

In the following video, notice the continuity of the childrens' development. Those adorable children who are born are simply larger and older than the ones who are unborn. There is no difference of value in God's eyes, and there should be no difference in ours.

If you believe that a baby in the womb is truly a human life, then abortion is the killing of an innocent life. In the United States alone, from 1973 through 2005, more than 45 million legal abortions occurred.
(Jones RK et al., Abortion in the United States: incidence and access to services, 2005, Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, 2008, 40(1):6–16.)

As much as I believe our country needs change, I don't believe Barack Obama is the answer based on his stance on abortion. Obama is the most pro-abortion candidate to run for president ever! Here is a link explaining why I think a candidate's view on abortion completely disqualifies them from my vote.

One of the first things Obama has publically committed to do when he is president, is to sign the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). This act will reverse all pro-life state legislation passed by vote of U. S. citizens in the last thirty years, including all parental notification and consent laws, waiting periods, and limitations on public funding of abortion. Or, as the National Organization for Women put it, it would "sweep away hundreds of anti-abortion laws [and] policies." These collective laws have saved and are saving countless lives.

Obama is committed to continuing the legalized killing of unborn children in this country. In his July 17, 2007 speech to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund Obama said, in reference to FOCA,

"
So, you know where I stand. . . The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That's the first thing that I'd do." Here it is...

In closing, this last clip is a graphic depiction of what abortion does. I'm cautious in sharing this video, but I feel that people need to realize the heinous nature of abortion. If you are sensitive to explicit images, please do not watch.

Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy post. Although you may disagree with me on this issue, I wanted to make people more educated about abortion. I pray that you will truly consider the grave importance of this issue as you vote next Tuesday.

Love,
Suzanne

Psalm 139:13-18
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.

More pics

Abigail likes to use her pacifier as a chew toy now. She'll shove it in her mouth as far as she can. I think it looks a bit uncomfortable myself...

Abigail has also found a new use for the johnny-jumper. She no longer jumps, but pulls her legs up and gets herself swinging!

Pickle Monster

Abigail LOVES pickles!!!

Abigail wants to crawl more than anything! She can prop herself up with her arms or get her butt in the air, but she can't do both of them at the same time. So, she ends up doing this worm-like move. I captured part
of it...

And we're back to sitting!
